Many are of the mindset that believes that school is where to part ways with any sport. Others maintain one sport into their sunset years. But one thing is clear. Those who partake in whatever sport as seniors enjoy a better life experience when compared with those who remain inactive.

Let's explore different perspectives of sporting benefits.

First, sports require teamwork. Teamwork tests everyone's limits emotionally and abilitywise. These experiences manifest in other areas of life. A sportsperson finds it easier to manage challenges outside the field or court. The person with no sport has no flexibility from empathy for they cannot fathom what it takes in effort and focus to produce the performance in question.

Sports people know how much practice is needed to deliver desired results. They will equally know how much effort they need at work to produce or exceed desired results. These are the people who mean it when they volunteer themselves for community duty. The rest only discover when it's too late what they got their selves into.

Active people enjoy better health and live longer than their sedentary counterparts. Overall, sporty staff keep the company's bills low. They enjoy better relationships at personal level and within teams.

Games afford teams opportunities to travel and make new friends far and wide. Golfers are some of the most travelled people. The relatively active type meets 20 or more new people on the course a year. This means in five years, they have a minimum of 100 new acquaintances with the potential to build these relationships into strong business partnerships.

The impact of all the above, is that the sporty types improve on their communication skills. One finds that these groups of people almost always have a better command of grammar and make better public speakers.

Added to the above, sporty people are always better informed and get to know things earlier than their sedentary counterparts.

A regular sport keeps many out of casual trouble. When one has a long term view of sports, they care for their reputation and will not be found shouting their self hoarse in dingy bars in the midst of miscreants. Those in their preferred sport become family and the least they expect of one is a well behaved sports mate.

Sports people make good decision makers many times because they are forced in their respective activities to make split-second decisions that shape the expected results. The indecisive people at work are more likely the inactive people outside the office.

So, if you've been inactive, you are missing out on the finer things in life. The good news is that you are only a decision away from partaking in an enjoyable activity.

The faster you decide, the better life gets for you. Help make our nation a healthier and a happier one too.
